About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting distracted from my thesis...

ABOUT ME

Oh, I'm pretty bad at this. Ok let's see... I can include anything I want? Better not! :D
Let's just put it this way: I come from another planet. No, ok, you won't believe me anyway. But it is kind of true. Growing up in Geseke-City is like coming from another planet. Imagine the most boring and conservative place in the world, add some stupid funfair and a "Schützenfest" once in a while and you slowly get a picture of how life on this "planet" has to be. I'm exaggerating a little of course.

I then decided to leave this amazing planet to study in Cologne (I study French, English, Italian, literature & linguistics). Best time ever! This is where my new home is now with most of my lovely friends. What I would call my second home town is Paris. I've been living in Paris for one year in 2009/2010. Best timer ever! Fell in love with the city! Since then, I did another semester in Cologne and then headed off to Berlin for 6 months (doing internships in cultural institutions and in journalism). I did another two months of internships in Rome and now I'm back in Cologne writing my final thesis...

PHILOSOPHY

Didn't know that I needed a personal philosophy in life until I filled in this form... Started getting frightened and confused. Looked for personal philosophies online. Then found this:
http://www.wikihow.com/Form-a-Philosophy
Did not help. Still no personal philosophy (Followed steps 1 to 4. Failed at step 5. Personal note: probably not patient enough)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm quite new here but already really excited about meeting lots of interesting people! I really like the idea of CS!

Even though I'm new on CS, I've got lots of experiences in hosting and in surfing. Since I love traveling and meeting new people, I never hesitate to let friends or friends of friends from all over the world stay over. In return, these friends or the friends of these friends will certainly let me stay over at their place some day... That's how I got to keep a 3-story-house in Paris for a week in summer of 2010. It was the house of the parents of my girlfriend's friend. They went on a holiday and needed someone to feed their cat. Easy job!
