Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always thought when you are traveling, hostels are the best places to be. I spend many cousy evenings with intersting people, listened to funny travel adventures, shared helpful travel tips and sometimes I found travel mates.

But in Year 2011 me and a friend decided to go for 6 weeks to the dominican republic. Our plan was to spend the most of the time at the cool surfer paradise Cabarete, but first we landed in Punta Cana and from there we had to head up. We just new about P. C. that it's a popular and expensive tourist destination. My friend had the idea to contact some locals in Couchsurfing. I didnt know about that online community that time.
Some weeks later i found out how amazing Couchsurfing is!!! It seems to me the members of couchsurfing welcome you with open hearts and open minds! The host were we stayed gave us firsthand recommendations, has showen us around the city and beautiful beaches, we cooked togther and had just lots of fun!

Interests

definitely good food and wine, swimming, surfing, running, exploring the countryside on a mountain bike, dancing (flamenco, merengue, bachata, salsa, funk, swing, rock'n roll... or just moving head to electronic music) painting, reading, cooking and eating :D of course traveling, hanging out with lovely people and so much more...
