ABOUT ME

Like many CSers, I'm a travel addict with Big Plans. Right now, one of my Big Plans is to travel by bicycle from the Northwest U.S. all the way down to the Southmost tip of South America and back, starting in 2010.
Also, I can be kind of shy and then make silly mistakes of etiquette about which I am forevermore embarrassed.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think there's a grand purpose or destiny to my life or anyone else's, or that it's wise to pretend there is one. Mostly, when I remember that, I'm sad. But it means I get to live anyway, and do what I want with my life, and I might as well have good company along the way.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travel, I meet people, and I tell others to join. I'm looking forward to having my own flat so that I can host whenever I want and maybe even organize some meetups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Filled out profile (sort of), waited for someone to want to visit the sticks.

Gave up that strategy.
Went to a flash mob in Trier and a party in Binsfeld, a flat in Metz, a lake in Hagondange, a campsite out in someone's field, a labyrinth in Vigy, fireworks in Koblenz, a university in Vallendar, and the streets of Paris. This way is much more fun.

There's not a lot I'm not interested in- just some things I know less about, like pro sports and astrophysics.
