ABOUT ME

Born in Sabah, East Malaysia - in a small town surrounded by islands. Spent 17 years growing up in paradise, with the beach on my front door. Eventually finished college and was offered a place in a University in England to study law.

Have been in England for almost 10 years now - I love my job, it keeps me passionate about people. On the side, I am still learning how to walk the middle line between being an island girl and a lawyer... I love traveling, meeting people, culture, laughing, music, cooking, writing, discovering and endless other obscure things like Yoda and banana pancakes! I travel as much as I can, and when Im not, Im probably daydreaming about the next great escape =)

Looking forward to showing people around my neck of the woods in England if they are around. And if you happen to be in Malaysia when I am, I'll be happy to show you around there too! Have travelled extensively in and around Malaysia so feel free to drop me a line if you would like any travel tips!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfed in Croatia for one night out of desperation as I was running out of money - it was an excellent experience and I met some amazing people! Couchsurfed in Bosnia, Mostar and Montenegro too, which was unforgettable. Have also hosted and fed people up. I think good food and great conversation completes any travel experience.

TRAVELLING!! (with a preference for backpacking),good music, carpentry, writing, black and white photography, theatre, politics, third world issues, human rights, people, food, good conversations about anything in particular, Scrabble!!, dancing (I love salsa in particular), taking the road less travelled, armchair activism.. oh, and I have a random thirst for geeky and obscure facts!
