About Me
Hi! My name is Lindon!
I'm a psychology student from Kosovo, living in Istanbul who loves travelling. I impress most people with my crazy budgeting, (which my friends claim is me being cheap), but it allows me to splurge when I do get to travel. I love writing, especially spoken word poetry and my favorite spots in the world are open mic shows and poetry nights. I spend a lot of my time just jogging or biking around. In conversation, I love to listen and I love meeting new people.
I do not believe in discrimination of any kind!! I'm willing to meet up, host, or hang out with anyone who is kind and open, regardless of physical appearance, religious belief, sexual orientation, gender identity, background, socioeconomic status, and anything else that we have built prejudice around. And I expect the people I interact with to have similar principles 🙆🏻♂️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently, I can't host because I am living in the dorms, but I would love to as soon as I get my own place. I want to get to meet new people while travelling and not just stay in a hotel and not experience the real vibes of the city.
I just want a real feel of the city I'm visiting and a glimpse of the lives of its people, and if I can't get that, a spot on the couch is way more than enough.
If you're in Istanbul and want to hang out, hit me up! I can't host, but I know cool places around and I love meeting new people :).

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch many movies but as for books, I'm absolutely obsessed with historical fiction, YA fantasy, like Sarah J.Mass, Leigh Bardugo, etc and some of my favorite writers are Haruki Murakami, Jack London, H.G. Wells, George Orwell. I've read a bit of everything, and I love spoken word poetry as well.
My music taste is a bit weird, I just listen to 2006 pop and eurovision songs hahah, but I love rock and my favorite bands are Rise Against and Halestorm.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This one time I split my head open in an amusement park while playing hide and seek and they closed it down because of me.
Also, last week I ate 9 bananas in a row. (I know its supposed to be 1 amazing thing I've done but I couldn't choose)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help with professional and creative writing, I have experience freelancing and translating. I can teach Albanian and some Turkish, and I'm a great listener and advice-giver.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My friends call me "Biblotekë" which is albanian for library because thats what I am. I have a huge collection and I'm always trying to guess what books a friend would be into and I would give them personalized reading lists and lend out my books. I'd love to do the same with a host, after living with them for a night or two and figuring out their vibes, sending them a book. I will also probably write poems about my trip and send them. I try to be funny and a good listener, and I have a few stories to share.
