Overview
About Me
28 years old Danish guy. I left home two years ago because I wanted to, stayed out because everytime I look at flights bound for Denmark, I get a minor panic attack accompanied by a strangling claustrophobia.
I'm a funny mix of introvert and extrovert, everything has it's time, but as a general rule of thumb when I seek out strangers company I am keen to talk also I have lived fairly isolated since I got to NZ in July '18, so probably more extrovert than usually at the moment.
I like a good beer.
I love cooking (you barely have to ask nicely to get me to cock for you, as long as you do the dishes).
I love football and especially my FC Copenhagen.
I try to read everyday.
I try to write everyday.
I love hearing other people talk about their passions.
Walking is my favourite form of transportation.
I do yoga, sometimes, mostly not.
Will rather avoid doing something I have learned is boring, than something I haven't learned at all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The hardest thing to accomplish while traveling is to meet locals, and staying in a cramped hostel with other backpackers doesn't help. I didn't travel to the other end of the world to meet Danes (or other Europeans).
I am currently living in a Hiace, so at the moment I can't really give that much back to the community at the moment
Interests
Football has been my life and greatest passion as far as I remember. Playing as a kid for hours in the garden, playing hungover as a teenager on a Saturday morning and as an active and passionate supporter when Copenhagen is playing. Keen on kicking some ball, if you know of any. Coached for a few seasons as well.
I love cooking for people, I love experimenting and perfectionating a dish. Always looking for a new dish to try out. Worked in kitchens for a while, so I chop veggies and do dishes faster than average, but also makes a bigger mess while doing it.
Hiking or walking is my jam. My favorite way of exploring is just walking around until I know it like my hometown, and being a traveler that is usually when I start packing my bag and leave the place. I am deeply grateful for the places my feet have taken me and where they will do in the future.
Yoga. I won't claim I do yoga every day, or even that I have a regular praxis, but yoga have done wonders for my body in the past and will do so in the future. I got a teacher certification, but haven't used it yet.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Into the Wild. Pillars of the Earth. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Movies: Not sure I have any, but alledgedly a movie I starred in as a kid, is available on (Danish) Netflix.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Shared a banana with an elephant in Thailand (not one of those torture victims).
The most laziest thing I have done: one day in Krabi, Thailand i couldn't be bothered to book a bus. So instead I hitchhiked to Chiang Mai, which was my first hitchhiking attempt ever, 1400 km in four days, one night spent on my yoga mat behind a servo betting eaten alive by mosquitoes, one night spent at the house of one of my drivers sharing dinner with him and his in laws and one boring night at a hostel.
Teach, Learn, Share
The greatest gift in life, for me, is being allowed to put forward my passion to someone genuinely interested in learning about it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food. I'll cook something delicious up for you if you want, I'll bake a bread. I am a bit fed up with the backcountry-made-in-my-van cuisine, so you're probably in for a treat. Got an oven? I'll bake a bread then.
I always strive to make life for my surroundings as easy as possible. I'll clean up my own shit, and probably yours as well (within reason ;))
