Overview
About Me
I am on a personal expansion and growth mission, as this is what life is all about... but I have been focusing more and more over the past 4 years on letting the ego go and listening to my inner voice, my heart. Everyday I look forward to the new lesson I may learn, a new friend I will meet or place I will get to explore, even if it is simply a new market or a park ;)
I have been working and travelling for almost 4 years now and I will always continue to travel so I can learn and grow in several ways but mainly to learn and understand culturaly, the different ways of being, seing and sharing. Also on my travels I tend to learn a new skill, whether it be in woodcrafting, alternative healing, ethnic cooking or craft or even the local language to communicate better with the locals.
After practising several kinds of yoga for almost 8 years, I decided I wanted to dive deeper and be able to teach the practice so I made the trip to India 2 years ago to begin that journey. I love to teach and share my knowledge of yoga and the benefits it has on so many aspects of our daily life. I love to build project's using as many tools as I know how to. I love to use my hands and don't mind to get dirty once in a while. I love to explore depths of body movement, fun and new ways to use this amazing thing we get to use on this earth!
I am easy going, love to dance and move, love to adventure and always up for new and exciting places and people. Spontaneity is key and learning to swim with the current, not against it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find traveling on a budget allows you to open up more, feel vulnerability and meet people who offer the same idea of sharing and or community. Couchsurfing offers that and brings you into peoples homes where they have the knowledge and understanding of their surroundings. When I have a stable home of my own I will definitely open up my home to others on Couch Surfing. I have not had much experience with couch surfing but the few times that I have it has been great.
Interests
Anything adventurous! Horseback riding is an absolute favorite of mine. Being able to sit upon such a beautiful and powerful animal, and to trust it's guidance. I really enjoy sports of almost any kind, I grew up with 3 older brothers so getting a little rough sometimes doesn't intimidate me. I like to draw or sketch. I love the outdoors, including swimming, hiking, climbing and gazing into beautiful scenery.
I love to experiment cook, and most often it turns out quite delicious I must say!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love electronic music, a good dj set from Robot Heart or Kalliope from the Burn. I enjoy listening to classical music or a gentle piano, or some good old fashion reggae or jungle music... however I am happy to listen to almost anything. Favorite movies are Dirty Dancing, Wolf on Wall Street, Inception, Far and Away, Return to OZ and The Fifth Element... so far. I love the writer Tom Robbins, so anything he rights. I enjoy reading the teachings of Osho and Rumi.
I'm not a huge book reader but am open to any catching stories or books you can offer me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have bungee jumped in two country's (once nude!). I walked along the great wall of China, I've been to the Grande Canyon and Niagara Falls. And when I was a child I walked with the Olympic torch in my home town of Calgary in '88.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach anything I have ever learned. Im always open and eager to learn new skills and grow as a person. Forever will I share the knowledge I've gained and share love because that is the most important thing in this life!
What I Can Share with Hosts
