Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Lindsay and I'm taking a year off of work to travel in South America and Europe. I grew up in Reno, Nevada. Currently, I live in Seattle and work there as a school psychologist. I work exclusively with students who have disabilities and access special education.
My partner, Ethan, and I are traveling until August, 2024. We are easy-going, respectful, fun, and love meeting new people!
My English is fluent. Mi español es medio. Más de básico, pero no fluido.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My boyfriend and I are traveling for a full year. We want to meet local people and learn about their ways of life!
Interests
- I recently went through my Yoga Teacher Training, so now I can teach yoga (although, I definitely have room for improvement here).
- I grew up with horses and love horseback riding.
- I love all (well, most*) things outdoorsy. I like hiking, swimming, kayaking, biking, bird watching, etc. Ethan really loves rock climbing and is very good! I like easy rock climbing, but when it gets difficult for me I easily lose interest. I do like supporting him in his climbing though!
- I am a good cook. I recently got diagnosed with Celiac disease, which means I can't eat gluten anymore (ugh). So that has been an adjustment in my cooking, but I like cooking still nonetheless.
- I grew up going to dance classes. I still love to dance, but I don't do much organized dancing anymore. I love partner dancing - I am good at two-stepping (country dancing) and I am okay at salsa.
- Ethan and I own a van back home in Seattle. Our van's name is "La Tortuga". We don't get anywhere fast, but we sure have a good time.
- I wrote "sustainability" as one of my interests just because I care about our earth and want to take care of it. That's why we like to ride our bikes places and try to be cautious about using earth's precious resources.
