About Me
Hey everyone! My name is Lindsay, nice to meet ya! I'm 24 years old and currently residing in the great city of St. Louis. I grew up here, and when I was younger I couldn't wait to leave when it came time for college. Since I was 18 I've lived in Florida, Illinois and Colorado - but I felt a strong pull to return home and make an impact in my hometown. I am currently serving with AmeriCorps VISTA and I also work at an athletic club as a sports coordinator while I'm attending college classes. I share my life with a sassy Husky/German Shepherd mix named Maya Angelou. She and I are all about outdoor adventures and good pizza. I love to lift weights and I'm trying to understand why people love to run. I'm a pretty busy and active person but I still enjoy the occasional Netflix binge. I'm a happy, outgoing person, I'm a big supporter of the $3 bottles of wine at Aldi, and I believe leggings can be pants because actual pants are kind of the worst.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Basically all I want to do with my life is travel with my best friend and dog - is that too much to ask? :-) Everyone has a story to tell and every place has something beautiful about it. I'm on Couchsurfing because I think the best way to experience and get to know a place is by spending time with people who live there and seeing places through their eyes.

Music, Movies, and Books
First of all, it's 2016 - so here are the shows I watch on Netflix/ HBO: New Girl, The Office, Parks & Recreation, House of Cards, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Ballers, Jane the Virgin, 30 for 30, Cooked, and a bunch of Documentaries
I read a lot of nonfiction books about sociology and the environment. But I enjoy getting lost in a fantasy book every now and then.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have lost over 100 pounds in my fitness journey!
