About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great way to meet locals and get the perspective of a local when travelling. Let's exchange!
Interests
Travel, Nature, Music, Hikes, Arts and Culture.
Fine woodwork, mechanical engineering/design, electronics, extreme sports. Quality wine, whiskey and beer tasting, laughing and good conversation. Thinking big
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - folk, avant garde, rock/alternative, (clean)hip-hop, lounge, drum n bass, classical, acoustic...basically any music. I love cheesy 80s music and 70s funk! I am a musician as well, play me something and I'll probably like it!
Books - I am an avid reader, books have probably been the most influential factor in who I am today, besides my home environment. I Love reading! Though find myself reading more condensed content online lately.
Movies...hmm not into TV, and I enjoy independent films. Occasionally binge watch series.
Documentaries
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2011, we sailed directly from Port Elizabeth in South Africa to Langkawi Island, Malaysia, across the Indian Ocean, on a 39 foot catamaran. 6 weeks of sailing, 10 000km, three of us, and I had never sailed before then, not even a small boat! It was both amazing and terrifying.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help with English, Afrikaans. I work with my hands and am quite practical.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A place to stay and possibly some of my time to hang out and go for a drive or whatever. I'm quite flexible and open to ideas
Countries I’ve Visited
Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Myanmar, Swaziland, Thailand, Viet Nam
Countries I’ve Lived In
