ABOUT ME
I enjoy talking over coffee and get really excited about dancing, good food, and bad movies. I read a lot (not as much as I used to), mostly in the genres of mystery, thriller, and scifi. I like to talk and I like to listen, and of course, since meeting new people allows me to do both of these things, I love to meet new people!
PHILOSOPHY
Mark Twain has this interesting philosophy in many of his works that claims humans do every single thing in the course of their lives for nobody but themselves. Even when they think they are doing it for others, they are really doing it for the good feeling and pride they get from helping. This isn't specifically my personal philosophy, but I do try to help people, and I do try to think about what I am doing and why I am doing it. I guess I just try to live my life while learning and helping those I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While camping near a beach one summer, my friends and I decided to take a night walk to the shoreline. It was about a 10 minute walk, and we for sure thought we were going to get eaten by alligators (Florida. It happens.), but we made it okay. The stars were out in full force, the waves were crashing to shore, and the mosquitoes were gone because of the sea breeze. We were playing in the surf when we noticed that what we had thought was the reflection of the stars was actually a bunch of bio luminescent krill, which lit up with every step we took (a la Avatar). The next hour was one of my favorites.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about Classical Mythology and its portrayal in Children's Literature. Actually, I also just know a lot about children's lit in general.
I want to learn languages and recipes and knitting and more about astronomy!
