In January 2019 we spent two months walking in Taiwan. It was amazing, and we met so many kind, and interesting people. Then went to spend 6 months by vespa scooter visiting the Western Balkan countries.
After being in Vancouver for the duration of the pandemic we started to move again in June 2022. Our positive experience walking in Taiwan inspired us to do a similar trip in the Baltics - Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
Then on to South Korea for a similar style travel for 3 months.
We are currently in North Macedonia and will spend some time in the region before returning to Italy in July 2023. Currently without scooter, but using other ways to get around.

ABOUT ME
(note from 2012!) We are Lindsay and Paolo a mixed couple from Canada and Italy respectively. We live together in Vancouver, we are currently traveling with a Vespa (Italian scooter) from Italy to Australia. We left on the 15th September 2012 and our route has taken us through Italy, Greece, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal and Thailand. After Thailand the idea is to go through Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia with the so called end point in Melbourne.
Update September 15, 2014!! we have been back in Vancouver for months now and are ready for another trip. Today we leave from Vancouver BC, and head to Mexico with the goal of getting to Panama.
LATEST Update :) July 23 2018. We arrived back in Vancouver earlier this year after having gone to the UAE and Oman with our scooter. We then went up to Central Asia before heading west back to Europe. Back here to work, write and plan our next trip. We are going to Taiwan, and then the Balkans so it will be great to connect with people who have some experience in these places :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Now that we are traveling we would like to meet some people along the road, even for a coffee. Once we will be back in Vancouver and find our place to stay we will be more then happy to be hosters and listen to what other travelers have to share.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We don't have any experience but we heard about many wonderful stories that we decided we would like to try.
Interests
We have many interests! but as you can guess this trip is our life at the moment. Traveling is amazing, we love to meet people, learn about the history of where we are, political issues, culture, food, anything that is unique to the place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last fall we finished our trip from UAE to Italy (via Central Asia) with a small 125cc scooter with 30,000km on the road. We have seen so many amazing things that would be better to be discussed in front of a cup of coffee/drink, couldn't do it justice in this small space! Some of these are nice things, others not so nice, travel has the power and ability to show so much to a visitor.
