ABOUT ME

I've had many experiences up to this point that have taught me many lessons! I'm a preacher's daughter, teacher, and always looking for an experience. I have a robust personality , only to be matched by an intense curiosity.

I'm anything but boring! lol I have a very magnetic personality and try to make the most of what I'm given. I'm not very knowledgeable about much outside of my bubble and that's what I'm hoping to change!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

It started as a conversation at a pub...

This woman asked for a beer. I was entertained. What woman asks another for a beer? She explained how her dad just passed, and how he always wanted to go to Finland. She sold all she had and lived there for 3 months. She continued to journey via couchsurfing, inspired by the people she met.

I want to do the same. I've found life is too short to make excuses for why you can't go somewhere. Additionally, visiting with a local is the best way to travel! I'd hope to host someone in the way I'd like to be hosted! Either way... :)

兴趣

Music, mostly music....

Good food, Broadway, stories from those wiser than myself, bluegrass, comedy, alcohol, animals (mostly dogs), anything challenging my normal comfortable nature...

Music- really? I can't even start, but when I do...it starts with Brandi Carlile. Bon Iver, Trampled by Turtles, The SteelDrivers, Ace of Base, My Chemical Romance, Band of Horses, Miranda Lambert, Dixie Chicks, Prince Royce, Old Crowe Medicine Show, Marcus Mumford...I could go on and on.

Movies- again , really? I think of movies like a last meal...what would you choose?
Lawless, As Good as it Gets, or the entirety of Fresh Prince

Books- I hate reading which is partially why I became a teacher. My sister loves it. Something fell short in my education. I can never put down Harry Potter .

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

This is quite the self indulgent prompt. I've done a lot. I was the Teacher of the Year for goodness sake...but, the most amazing thing I've "ever done" is show up for my students everyday who don't have anyone else they can depend on to be there. (Did you see how I stuck the teacher of the year thing in there? haha)
