ABOUT ME

I'm a student at UC Berkeley in California where I study international relations and public policy. I just returned form a semester abroad in Paris and an awesome three months of backpacking through a good amount of western Europe.

I am the youngest of four siblings and am an aunt to two adorable nieces. I grew up in Northern California in Modesto, not in the most exciting of cities, but lived about an hour or so away from some of the best parts of California: San Francsico and the East Bay, Santa Cruz, Monteray, Nappa Valley, etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Definitely have to thank CS for making my Europe experience amazing. I met lovely people and got shown too much kindness. One of my favorite trips was probably doing a bike trip through the Netherlands and stopping at different hosts along the way in about eight cities. I also had great CS hosts in the south of France, Malta, and Sicily.

Interests

There is no greater pleasure than reading a good book! Jane Austen is probably my biggest obsession, as well as the BBC movies of them! I am also a huge Harry Potter fan. Unfortunately, being a college student leaves me reading mainly academic articles and books, but whenever I get a chance I grab something for fun!

I love movies, especially Dinsey classics, Pixar,and a good documentary. I also like musicals that have been made into movies, but would much prefer to see a live performace! I have been to tons of musicals, and am always down for theater, opera, dance exhibiitions, etc., really anything where people are showcasing a passion.

I grew up playing soccer competitively, from about 9 years old till the end of high school. Unfortunately, I have been cursed with major injuries that required four knee surgeries to date, but I still love the game. It's nice to be in Europe now where it is actually appreciated :)
