About Me

I think one of the best ways to know what someone's like is by looking at where they've been recently or where they go on a regular basis. So, where you'd have found me recently:
- Bohemeo's, Beatles open mic, playing
- AvantGarden, poetry slam, snapping
- dog park, being too intimate
- World Wide Web, watching Tim&Eric or philosophy videos
- trails in Creede CO, looking for bears, failing
- Lawrence KS, teaching guitar at girls rock camp, wishing I was as cool as the campers
- comedy open mics, mustering up courage
- University of Houston, public lectures, learnin'

The skinny:
- People, music, laughter, and good conversation... That about sums me up
- Live in Houston; visiting the UK at the moment
- Work as a statistical analyst; also spent a couple years teaching high school and college

I love goofing around, having meaningful conversations, connecting with people, exploring new cities, conjuring up new life plans, and making to-do lists I can't finish. I love making people laugh, and I love loving things. Most of those things being dogs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's a lot to learn from people outside our little bubbles.

Interests

Other things I love: humans, coffee shops, beer, big cities, small towns, live music, reading, well-made movies, ideas, people following their dreams, good conversation, harmony, historic stuff, humor, entertaining others, coming up with ways to make people laugh, being redundant, sarcasm, sociology, psychology/human behavior, kinesiology, nutrition, alternative/naturopathic/holistic medicine, anything outdoors, mountains, traveling, thinking, learning, linguistics, writing/playing music, and eating food that comes from the ground or a non-test-tube/factory-raised animal (or trying to get better at that anyway).
