Über mich
Hey, my name is Lindy :) I love Jesus, photography, hiking, and pretty much anything outdoors. I was raised in a teensy tiny little town in North Carolina where everyone wore camo, but I lived in Asheville for 2 years going to UNCA but then I transferred and I'm now in Boone, NC! Life is great, and so is adventuring, meeting new people, and eating good food. I can be a bit of a health nut (organic food rocks!) but besides that, I'm pretty laid back and easy going. Hope we get to meet one day in some far-away land :)
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
Pretty much 2 reasons:
1) Because hotels are expensive and backpacking for extended amounts of time is kinda tough in an area you are unfamiliar with. I'm in college....so that explains the financial situation pretty thoroughly I'd say. Yet I love to travel so I am looking for better ways to do so.
2) A far richer travel experience! Meeting people is half the fun! How can one possibly get an accurate feel for a place without making friends with some locals? Besides, someday when I have a secure and stable place to stay I will probably host travelers and I think it would be fun to meet them too and show them around the area.
That's about all for now, folks :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I love pretty much any music! Just nothing nasty, so pretty much no rap unless its Christian rap. Some of my favorites are Marshall Tucker Band, Newsboys, Band of Horses, and Vivaldi.
As far as movies, Last of the Mohicans, Braveheart, Dances With Wolves, and Do You Believe are probably my top 4.
One of the best books I've ever read was Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand. The Bible is still my favorite though - its a love story :)
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Well, I drove to Lamar, Colorado by myself last year for an interview at a school I was thinking about going to. That was a total of 4 days driving 12 hours a day (round trip). And while I was there I stayed with friends of friends I had never met before! I must say, that was pretty crazy and quite the experience!
My first backpacking trip ever was within my first month of college. We did 36 miles from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. It rained all day Saturday. It was the greatest experience ever and seriously changed my life.
