Hello I'm an english woman who loves to socialise and make friends. I worked in TV and cinema for 20 years in London. Sometimes I work on films in France, but mostly help to run a local artisanale brewery.
I am curious about new places and the people who live there. I live in rural france but feel equally at home in a city. I love to learn new skills, currently trying to learn Spanish language and the Guitar. Serious about helping others especially refugees. I started an association in France and regulary do activities with local lads from Africa and Afghanistan. I have a grown up daughter at university in Toulouse. With an arts background, I am interested in all types of arts, media, history, music & dance. I love to cook and eat good food, simple or fancy . I am adaptable to most situations and just like to experience life !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and will be soon coming to Barcelona for a short TEFL ( teaching English as Foreign Language ) course. I could book a cheap hostel or hotel but I prefer to find a genuine local person who can share their city and experiences with me. I do not expect a guide, but a friendly face at the end of the day who can hopefully point me in the right direction, to help me get the most out of the city and its culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can honestly say that I enjoy almost all music in the right context......from sugary pop-rock Divas, to boy-bands and ballards to stadium rock, reggae to Ska, folk, jazz and blues. I really love some classical and world music and also adore funky dance, disco, Rap, soul & R&B..... Yep I have a wide taste in music !
I am a film buff and will enjoy most big blockbusters but also a fan of independant & foreign movies.
