About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoying life to the fullest
ABOUT ME
I have a bi-cultural background (born in Hanoi/Vietnam but raised in Dresden/Germany). 20 years of my life I spent in beautiful (but somewhat boring) Dresden. During my Erasmus year in Paris in 2009/2010, a friend made me start Couchsurfing (never regretted it!).
After having finished my law studies in Dresden, I moved to Berlin (Germany) and afterwards to Tilburg (Netherlands) for legal internships (kind of a gap year) and the UK for my LLM degree. I'm now based in Berlin for my PhD.
I'm pretty uncomplicated and always keen to meet new people with different backgrounds, interesting stories to tell or alternative ways of thinking.
PHILOSOPHY
Der Weg ist das Ziel. (If somebody has a proper English or French translation, please let me know!)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books
Only a very small selection:
Music: good old school HipHop from Germany, Indie, Alternative, Acoustic, Singer Songwriter,..
I went through all kinds of music when I grew up and tend to stick to the good old stuff :) Naming interprets would fill pages!
Movies: Lord of War, Forrest Gump, K-Pax, Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, 500 days of summer, Intouchables, contemporary Latin-American movies reflecting society issues and those cynical, grotesque movies from Scandinavia,..
I love movies that make me think, that won't merely last 1-2 hours, but have some further impact on me.
Books: Oscar et la Dame rose, Le petit prince, Monsieur Ibrahim et les fleurs du Coran, Kite runner, some German classics,..
In general, I enjoy reading books in their authentic language (the same with movies), but studying law, which involved a lot of compulsory reading, killed my desire to consume books out of pleasure, but I'm just about to rediscover this joy :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
LOVE
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd really really like to improve my guitar playing abilities. But am open for everything else you would enjoy sharing with me :)
Well, I could offer amongst other things above all my knowledge about law, esp. human rights, Yoga or language skills.
