About Me

2019 update ! Not that there's a lot to say :-)

I think i'm a quite easy-going person.

I studied for some years in Belgium, then i had a few wwooffing and workaway experiences (like donkey care in a sanctuary, and learning about food and energetic autonomy). At the moment, i'm working in an organic vegetable farm a few days a week, in Belgium ; it's nice to learn about that stuff surrounded by sweet people. Still, but i strongly believe people aren't defined by their jobs, and working part-time leaves me the opportunity to do other stuff on the side ! :-)

I'm interested in people, and what i can learn at their contact. Almost every topic is intersting to me, so it's difficult to list it ; but i can enjoy serious conversations, sharing point of views about serious matters, but also in silly conversations, and in experiencing different activities. I'm eager to learn, try out new things...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on couchsurfing since 2011 ; but until December 2018, i never got hosted (maybe don't have a talent to write profile or requests... or maybe just bad timing). I also never hosted anyone (because i never had my own place, and my roommates weren't that enthusiastic... and because the place where i live in Belgium is not so interesting to visit, i guess).

But last December, I tried it out again in Asia, where i spent a few months in 2018 and 2019 ; i stayed with Weena's wonderful family for a week. Some nice experience!!

I think i see couchsurfing a little like i see hitchhiking : when you're broke, it's helpful to find other ways to travel and get hosted - but in the end, what's really meaningful isn't the money you saved, but the human experience you shared.

Interests

I love a lot of really mainstream things (music, travelling, meeting people...).

But i also can get a bit geeky : about tea, climbing, learning new languages...

I'm also very into re-thinking internalized reflexes, ways to think and to act, power relationships...

Teach, Learn, Share

We all have things to share to one another. The best is to discover it in person, i guess !

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well ! What ever you are OK to share with me. If you don't have time to spend, but are OK to lend your couch, it's OK ; if you are more interested in spending time together, talking, cooking, even travelling, or if you need some help for an on-going project...
