About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm still figuring out what I stand for. I'm seeking love, laughter, art, friendship and a sense of adventure.
ABOUT ME
My name is Caroline Clark. I am a 27-year-old American girl born and raised in Bakersfield, California. I recently relocated to Silicon Valley and am working for Adecco at Google X in Mountain View.
I am a licensed optician and avid thespian. I direct and act. I like to sing and dance. I love to meet new people. I love to learn, and think, and try.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to be honest, respectful, caring and fun loving. I want to live my life in a way that doesn't harm anyone else. I want to make the world a better place before I leave and I want to see EVERYTHING.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My first experience CSing was during a 3 week trip through Europe the summer of 2009. I visited Ireland, Spain, Italy and France. I surfed in Ireland and France and had wonderful experiences. I've hosted a many wonderful guests since my return and it's been very rewarding. CSing also turned out to be a great tool for making friends when I moved from southern California to Monterey for 6 months. I resided at COUCH BURNER'S CAMP while attending Burning Man 2011.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed in Dublin and Paris. I have hosted quite a bit. I like to think I am a good hostess. I've also participated in community building brunches and meet ups in Monterey, San Diego, Bakersfield and Paris. I recently went to Burning Man with my CSing friend Andy from England. We stayed at Couch Burner's camp and it was a BLAST!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Modest Mouse, Led Zeppelin, Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Black Keys, Electric Light Orchestra, Tegan and Sara, Joana Newsom, Blue Oyster Cult, No Doubt, The Isley Brothers, Al Green, The Zombies, Van Halen--not Van Hagar.
Movies: Gone With The Wind, Matchstick Men, The Blues Brothers, The Big Lebowski, How To Marry a Millionaire, A Clockwork Orange, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, BASEketball, Saving Silverman.
Musicals: Jesus Christ Superstar, Hedwig and The Angry Inch, HAIR, Chicago, How to Succeed in Business..., The Blues Brothers, My Fair Lady, Jekyll and Hyde, Sweeney Todd, RENT, Oklahoma!, Avenue Q the list goes ON and ON!
Books: I'd put something here for fear of seeming ignorant but I'd be full of shit. I don't do books often. I fall asleep. I can barely make it through an entire movie. If there isn't human interaction going on it's very hard to keep my attention. That's why I like live theater and music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran into my mom's coworker while dancing on top of the bar to "Lyrical Gangsta" in Pamplona, Spain.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to see how the rest of the world lives. I love art and artists. I want to see live theatre performed in different languages and cultural settings.
