About Me
**HOSTING UPDATE**
I will be in town all of the summer and most of next fall. LA seems really popular and I am really sorry for not getting back to all of you - nothing personal. Sometimes my inbox will get flooded with requests and I can't write everyone back.
If you send me a request, please read over my whole profile. I do know the city really well and can give you plenty of recommendations. If I really like you I will even take you down to Hollywood Blvd and show you where Julia Roberts was hooking Richard Gere in "Pretty Woman". If I sadly can't host you I am open to meeting up and having a few laughs. I love meeting new people.

I was born and raised in Europe, but I have lived in the US for many years. I love to travel and try to get out as often as I can. With the exception of visiting my homeland (Sweden), my last trip was to New Zealand for a few days. I got to geek out on a Lord of the Ring tour that I would highly recommend. Other than that I am just your average Scandinavian Southern Bell... My interests are pretty wide and I can find common ground with almost anybody. However, I love being on the water kayaking, sailing, SCUBA diving (you get the idea). If I have to stay on dry land I enjoy hiking, classic cars, good food, Rye Whiskey, books, technology, politics and world affairs, and of course traveling.
PHILOSOPHY
The three life lessons my dad taught me: Always do positive things to yourself, mind, body and spirit. Education is never wasted, and enjoy each day you are given.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have had amazing experiences with couchsurfing on my trips. I love it, and think it brings out good travel karma. Now I try to give back to the community by hosting. :)
Interests
My interests are pretty wide. I am pretty good and picking up new hobbies. The last few things I tried were tap dancing, screenwriting, and trout fishing. A bit random. I know.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books I am reading right now include Democracy Now, Growth Hacking, Tribal Leadership. Women Who Run with Wolves, Lost Moon, Wild, and plenty of apps development and design books.
Movies is tough for me to narrow down. A few of my top picks are: As it is in Heaven, Crownjewels, My Man Godfrey, Born Yesterday, Death Takes a Holiday, but my all time favorite is Mary Poppins.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen many amazing things. Most out in nature, and while on my travels. The most amazing thing I have done was visit Elephant Nature Park in Chang Mei, Thailand which is a huge rescue center for abused elephants. I can say I have walked with giants.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could share some drawing techniques, painting, art history, and if you have the facilities.. some glass blowing. I am also wicked good on the cow-bell, and triangle if you would like to start a band together. ;)
I enjoy cooking and can make you a great meal. I have also been told I am a great baker and can whoop up my grandmas cinnamon rolls in a jiffy.
