About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently moving back to Chicago, and trying to find an apartment/room.

ABOUT ME

I just graduated with my masters in psychology at Claremont Graduate University. I am a passionate, down-to-earth person, and fun to be around. I love watching movies (seriously, I'm a big cinephile), reading literature and Psychology journals, playing ukulele, writing stuff, painting stuff, chilling with friends, and taking on some little adventures every once in a while. The list could go on, I just love to explore anything that interests me in life.

I joined CS because I read a book about it, and toally loved the couchsurfing experience shared by the author. I believe this is the best way to get to know people from all over the world, to get to know life and the world better, to introspect. I believe in the theory of "Live your life on the road."

PHILOSOPHY

Be brave. Stay real. Explore yourself through people all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf when I'm on vacations, or I don't have tight schedules. I do hosts when I have time, mostly during weekends, holidays, spring breaks and summer time.

My availability and living situation is a bit complicated, but I might still able to accept guests. Do message me if you need a place to stay or you want to meet me in person. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed more than I hosted in the past, because I have been traveling/moving a lot. I only hosted three officially from this website, but absolutely loved the experience! I wish I could move into a CS friendly apartment and host more in the future.

Interests

Love watching movies. I find all kinds of movies interesting, but my favorite genres are mind-bending, literature-based, artistic, dark and suspense movies. Most of them are small independent movies. LOVE to do everything related to movies, editing some trailers, making short films, writing movie critiques are all my favorite.

Also love playing ukulele, writing music, hanging out with friends (doing funny silly stuff together or just chilling), meeting new friends, photographing, reading novels and writing poems.

Favorite music genres: classic music/ Reggae/ Jazz and Blues/ Folk/ OSTs/ 1960s music/ some pop music;

Favorite sports: swimming, jogging, biking; Just started skateboarding.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went through some shit and graduate...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook real Chinese food! for girls, maybe how to do your own haircut (lol. sometimes it's very necessary for travelers.)

There are so many things I want to learn. Cultures, perspectives about life and the world. I believe I could always learn something from everyone I encounter.

I love to cook for my hosts. You gotta try the Chinese egg pancakes I make, and I'm so good at making milkshakes :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My travel experiences, life stories, ideologies, music I wrote, sarcastic humor, my passion for literature and movies, and Authentic Chinese food!
