About Me

For surfers before sending requests:
-- Please don't send me requests more than 2 weeks before your arrival. I hardly know what I'm doing tomorrow --
-- Please read my profile and my home section before you send me requests --
-- As I'll be sharing my room with you I wanna know a little about you, so please put some effort in the request. I don't wanna know what nice stuff you can bring me/do for me/how I benefit from you or how little work and trouble you are. Just show me a little bit of you (And a request that's mice and fun to read doesn't hurt of course ;)) --
-- Please send requests and no messages --

[up to date mid 2019)
To be honest, I always feel like on a self-promotion dating platform when writing such texts.
I'm 22 and out of my last weeks of my psychology bachelor and now in the UK to study philosophy, politics and economics. I'm really open and outgoing, but that's just other words for "having problems with decisions" (and being horribly chaotic) and "needing other people to regain energy". So I am usually really energetic and talk a lot, but I can shut up as well of course. I am generally good at adjusting.
I also tend to not care too much what others think, but I can behave very well if I want to (and usually do so anyway) and will try not to embarrass you on the street ;) But just in case you want to do something socially awkward, I'm probably up to it.
Oh and I like going out/clubbing or going to a bar, but I'm really not much of a drinker, so you won't have any crazy drunk experience with me.

Don't want this to turn too promoting or into a long blabbering about my "life philosophy".
So: I think I'm decent :) (I'm actually kind of a narcissist)

Also, there's this Effective Altruism thing I can talk about forever, but I'll try my best not to.
Also, I really enjoy intellectually honest, direct and taboo-less conversations, but I don't need them and I know that my views might offend some people, but if you're up to it, I'm up to it! I love getting to know other people's system of thinking.

(To all the Effective Altruists, Lesswrongers, AI or other future technology researchers, transhumanists, knowledgeable philosophers and scientists, career experts, economists, politicians, activists, philanthropists, donors, experts on decision and rationality, dancers, YES, please come to my place. If you find (some of) that stuff bullshit, YES, please come to my place. Everyone in the middle is very welcome as well ;))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent three years of my life sharing a room and another two years at least sharing my flat with other people and just enjoy human connection. I love spending my time with people and get a lot of my energy from social interaction.

I love the many different kinds of people that couchsurfing sends to my place

Interests

Some comments to interests:
Literature (just never reading)
Writing (Thrice a year. Max)
Theatre (Never have the time for)
Games (card, Pen & Paper, watching video games, trying video games until I find out I suck again, board)
Politics (some.)

Well...I like a lot of stuff (and maybe lack depth in all of it?), am pretty sure to be able to get enthusiastic - maybe even too hyped - about what you like and clearly have a problem with setting priorities. (Well, I wrote this description before I got to know effective altruism, now I'm just a one-dimensional boring blop)
So I will probably lack knowledge/experience in most of the things you are really into, but at least it's likely I'll be genuinely interested :) From politics to gaming to clubbing, baking, hiking, birdwatching or spirituality, science, music and arts...I'm open for everything, just let me take part in whatever you're into. (or don't, if you don't want to)
I've always been singing (very averagely) and engaging in "social" stuff though (Currently I'm on the Effective Altruism train) and I love(d) psychology.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Don't really have anything like a favorite book, but I like Murakami, Kafka (Strangely enough never read his super famous novels, but just short stories), Night train to Lisbon, The Hitchiker's guide to the galaxy and Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality (www.hpmor.com)

Music: Listening to everything?

Movies: Probably some Ghibli-stuff or weird ass Korean movie. (You should watch "Mother" from 2009) (Rick and Morty for series)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Catching baby birds in the night (common murres, search engine them). And I've lived in the nicest communities and surroundings one can wish for. (Sounds dull, is not)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have mastered the art of sleeping.
I can tell you about my cult. (It's not a cult.)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good humor (said no one who truly is funny ever), no extraordinary cooking or musician skills, sorry.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Greenland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Vatican City State, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
