About Me

My name is Linh. I was born and raised in Vietnam, graduated from an international high school in Israel with kids from more than 40 countries in the world and currently am a freshman at Babson College, a business undergrad school in the United States.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am purely interested in the stories of each individual from different backgrounds. I travel to collect these stories about people, cities and countries, and tell them through the art of photojournalism. I am strong believer of humans' natural kindness and have been lucky enough to experience at first hand so much of that during my travels.
That's why I am on couchsurfing to be a part of a community who shares the same interests and belief as I do

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

“Hi. My name is Linh. I am from Vietnam”

That was the only sentence I was able to speak properly when I first came EMIS, my high school in Israel.

Four years ago, at the age of 16, I took my first flight abroad ever. That was my flight to EMIS. It is a special international high school that brought kids from all over world together for the mission “to make education a force for peace and sustainability in the Middle East”. Besides my two big suitcases, the rest was little. I was little. (I mean, I still am). Little did I know about myself, about the world, the conflict of the region. Little did I know that I was about to spend the best two years of my life. Little did I speak English. Little did I expect that two years after that day, I would be the student speaker, delivering the graduation speech on behalf of the graduating class (and yes, it was in English).
