Hello the world,

I am Linh, 30 years old and originally from Vietnam. I got Fulbright scholarship last year and moved to NYC to do my master’s degree in Art Therapy which I love very much. Basically I am learning to become a therapist who uses art (visual art) to communicate with clients.

I am very social but also need a lot of alone time to recharge. I enjoy deep conversation but am willing to do small talk because I know deep conversation isn’t for everyone. Crowded loud bars are not my best environment but I am always up for an ice cold beer. Cultural events and food are my most favorite parts!

I have traveled quite a bit in most continents except for the Antartica. Human interactions mean a lot to me and so does the beauty of cultural diversity. I am culturally very open-minded and quite mellow after all those years of seeing the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe in kindness and genuine connection.

I’ve couchsurfed since 2012 and have had mostly great experiences. I’ve surfed 6-7 times in Australia and the US and hosted multiple surfers when I lived in Vietnam.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking Vietnamese food for people who host me.

I can teach a few basic words in my language. I’m happy to share traveling tips.
