Hi everyone! I am Linh, originally a Vietnamese, but studying abroad in Beppu, Japan and exchaging in Karlsruhe, Germany now. Let me tell you about my 22-year-journey so far. My father was originally a tour guide. Whenever he was on his business trip, I hardly heard any thing from him, he called me only once a week because there was no internet and the international call was extremely expensive at that time. When he was back, he bought me little souvenirs from all over the world. That is how Dad brought me the curiosity about the outside world.

I was born and raised in my lovely Hanoi - the capital of Vietnam, but now that I can somehow afford my own journey, I am now on the way exploring the world step by step. I started by applying to an international university in Japan and I was accepted with scholarship. Within the past 2 years and a half studying in Japan, I had chance to make friends, build memory and work with people from all walks of life, especially from other Asian countries. Also within those years, Japan treated me so well with several part-time job as a waitress, a teaching assistant and a librarian that I can save myself a little bit to continue my journey. I decided to challenge myself in a totally new environment of culture by applying for the overseas exchange program to go to another international university in Germany and it was my pleasure that I I got it. That is why I am here in Europe now to discover the other side of the world.

I love many things, but travelling, cooking and photography especially. To be clearer, you can check out my photo part even though that it is just a little part of my journey.

I am here on Couchsurfing to fulfill my dream of getting to know the outside world which I am always curious about, to meet people from all walks of life to know about the differences, respect and fulfill myself. I am here to tell people about how beautiful are the places that I have been to and how the life is like in the countries that I have lived in. Finally, I am here with the hope that I can become a host as well at some points of my life.
