Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
explore south america, meet great people & go couchsurfing
ABOUT ME
i'm an adventurous, open-minded & easy-going person.. in larger groups i'm a bit introverted at first and prefer to watch silently, but then again if i feel comfortable, i can be crazy & super spontaneous.. i'm from germany, but currently studying (bachelor) in the netherlands. most importantly i want to enjoy life to the fullest, be free and independent, see the world & meet great people.. perhaps you're one of them?!
PHILOSOPHY
peace & freedom
be who you are & say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter :)
i embrace all the opportunities i got in my life and am aware of the fact that traveling & doing whatever i want are privileges not everybody can enjoy. i therefore want to give something back to the people who didn't get all these chances.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i've hosted some people in Peru and Maastricht, but not as many as i would have liked to, since uni tends to keep me quite busy.. :S
at the moment i'm in Santiago de Chile for my semester abroad :) i can't wait to explore the city & country and travel South America!!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
when i lived in peru, my housmate was on couchsurfing so we often hosted people from all over the world. i met a lot of interesting people and found some nice friends, i wouldn't have found otherwise. our visitors told us about their country and often cooked for us :P best times..
Interests
i love to do sports, especially track-and-field (jumping), snowboarding, skiing and volleyball. i love to travel and explore new places, i want to see the whole world! in my remaining freetime i like to hang out with my friends, smoke water pipe or cook...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
one of my most amazing trips was in the Valle Sagrado in Peru. some friends and i met some jewelry makers in Urubamba, who told us that you could get into some Inca ruins without paying the entry fee if you went in the middle of the night. it was a bit crazy, but they asked if we wanted to go with them and so we did. with some torches and supplies to make a fire we left town around midnight and started hiking towards the ruins. when we got there we made a fire and chewed some coca while waiting for the sun to rise. as soon as there was some light we entered the ruins and the Peruvians did some traditional ritual dancing around the stones. the way back in the beautiful mountains illuminated by the early morning sunlight was one of the most magnificent settings I have ever seen.
two other amazing things i've seen are the Yellowstone National Park, which is just absolutely out of this world and the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia. I can't wait to go back!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
i can teach you the languages i know, highjump or how to make way-too-high calorie deserts ;) i love to share traveling & couchsurfing experience and i love to philosophize about life and learn about other people's ideas about and attitudes towards life..
