About Me

made in China, exported to Canada, somehow landed in Germany, for now.

Part of me is left in Egypt, India, and Japan, where I stayed for 3-month each as an exchange student and for internships.

I'd love to see a world without borders :) Besides migrants' rights, I am also passionate about gender equality, workers' rights, international relations, and history in general.

If I am not traveling, you will probably find me hiding behind bookshelves in libraries, attending to my (mostly edible) garden, or counting raw ingredients in the kitchen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To explore different possibilities of living and meet interesting and inspiring people. Regain faith in humanity.

My friend and I started couchsurfing in 2013 when we traveled around Europe during our exchange semester. We had amazing experience being hosted by CSers around the world! It really made a difference for our journey. We explored places where normal travelers don't visit, and heard interesting stories from our hosts. Not to mention all the fun party times and conversations :D

Couchsurfing taught me that there is no correct or wrong ways of living and life is full of possibilities. It is a wonderful platform that promotes appreciation of basic human connections despite how different we may appear to be.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

26-day backpacking trip in Europe: tried trains in different countries, hitchhiking sometimes... met so many kind and interesting drivers and hosts on the way who told us stories we would never heard if we didn't hitchhike or surfing couches.

- Playing drinking games with Somek in Seoul
- Fjords in Norway
- Hitchhiking across Europe
- Super friendly hosts/drivers in France and Taiwan
- Thousands of lamps in the graveyard on All Saints day in Wroclaw

I will tell you more once we meet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak English, Mandarin, and okayish German. There's never an end to learning new languages :) I'm open to anything that you can teach me about!

If you are interested in cooking, I can teach you how to make sushi, mochi, and a few Chinese dishes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hitchhiking and Couchsurfing Stories, cooking up a feast, helping out with household duties, and laughter :D
