Overview
About Me
I just got back from traveling in the Caribbean by boat and I'm itching for another adventure! I love hearing people's stories and adventures. I'm a huge musical theater nerd and enjoy exploring, food, learning and experiencing different religions and traditions, doodling, creating videos, and talking to people. If I ever have the chance to host or surf, I'd love to make music together! I play the ukulele, am trying to teach myself guitar, and can kind-of play the piano. Oh, and I love to sing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I met a woman on a volunteer trip I led to Virginia who had couch surfed all over Europe and was planning on surfing in South America. It was a way of travel I never considered or thought was possible, and it sounded absolutely incredible. To me, it seems like the best way to experience the local culture-- I want to experience places from a local's perspective. I want to really get to know a culture and environment while also making connections and meet some amazing, incredible people!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music (Musicals): Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Hadestown, Heathers, Be More Chill, Phantom of the Opera, The Greatest Showman, Wicked, Book of Mormon, In the Heights, Les Miserables
Music (not-Musicals): Vocal Few, The Killers, anything folk, really, and any new music. I love hearing and sharing music. I'm always in need of more songs for my Spotify playlists. EDM, Folk, Pop, Classic Rock, Oldies, anything that makes you feel like you're on a road trip.
Movies/TV: Mad Max: Fury Road, 2012, Stranger Things, The OA, Bojack Horseman, Moana, Coco
Books: Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman. Honestly, one of the most incredible books I've ever read. If you've ever read it, let's chat about it. The Ingo Series by Helen Dunmore: childhood favorite, encouraging me to take a trip to Cornwall, England at some point in my life
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The moment I climbed all those steps to reach the top of Macchu Picchu. It was absolutely incredible. Walking between stone walls that had been built thousands of years before me and realizing just how small we are. My trip to Peru was the first time I was able to meet the Peruvian half of my family and experience a culture outside the United States. I would go back in a heartbeat.
