ABOUT ME

My name is Lindsay. I love to travel, play volleyball, meet new friends, dance, try new types of food, drink beer and wine, and going on road trips. I also enjoy movies, going to the beach, debates, and taking pictures!

PHILOSOPHY

"Not all who wander are lost." -my favorite quote and currently fits my traveling lifestyle!

I believe that everything evens out in the end. So I tend not to worry about picking up a check or lending something to a friend because I know that favors are either directly or indirectly returned eventually. Karma I guess you would say :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted once but have not surfed yet. Would love to be in a position to host again and plan on couch surfing myself one of these days!

VOLLEYBALL is my absolute passion. I love to play indoor, grass, and sand volleyball!

Music, Movies, and Books

Sci-Fi and Fantasy movies are probably my favorite although I also enjoy comedy and action/thrillers. I love going to movies and getting a big bowl of popcorn.

I listen to a lot of country music along with pop/rock, but I keep an open mind and will listen to pretty much anything!

As for books some of my favorites are Siddhartha, The Life of Pi, The Alcemist, and The Celestine Prophecy. When I just want a fun read though I usually go for suspense/mystery/thrillers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have gone sky diving, it was amazing but I will never do it again! haha

Most people thought I was crazy when I moved from Southern California across the country to Rhode Island for school, but I loved being able to live in a totally new place with new people where it actually snowed! Then I moved all the way to South Carolina which was another culture shock. However, I am adaptable and I believe its a good experience to live in different places because it makes you appreciate things like weather and culture. Sometimes you just have to step out of your comfort zone and experience another world!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to knit or crochet! I love to do both and they are super easy to learn!

I would love to practice my German and also learn fun facts about where everyone is from and how to cook local dishes. I love knowing weird tidbits of information to pass on to others.
