About Me
Hi,
I am a 26 year old Economist from Berlin – Germany who just got back from a 6 month stay working with Electric Mobility Innovation in California. I am currently hunting for jobs in a sustainability related field and am travelling the country via CS to better get to know the cities where I am landing job interviews and job offers.
This of course serves to get to know new and friendly people from all across Germany. But it also is a great hope of mine to get a better feeling for local area and to check whether I can imagine it to be a good place to stay for my future family.
I am planning to move in together with my fiancé from Chile and her little daughter (6) in fall 2018. For this purpose I am really hoping for some helpful insights from the Couchsurfing community to better understand whether their home towns and cities could be a great place to stay for the three of us. in particular I am looking for openness towards spanish speaking Immigrant children (or immigrant children in general), and acceptable job prospects in the social work space (especially related to immigrants and refugees). My fiance holds a social work degree and has experience working with refugees and asylant seekers in the US and Chile. She is as ambituous and mission driven as I am and thus really wants to be able to contribute in challenging environments. If you are taking me in, thus please don't be surprised about potentially arising questions regarding local life, living conditions for children as well as social work particularly with refugees and immigrants :-)!!
Feel free to reach out and ask if you have any further quesitons!
Cheers,
Linus
