About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to be a sponge to the world

ABOUT ME

I'm not using CS as a mating service so please do NOT email me looking for a hookup....I will not respond to your email!(which is one reason why my response rate is low)
with that said...I like to keep it simple.I share the common philosophy that we should all just collectively chill and enjoy life while we can. I find it sad that too many people get caught up in preparing for the future and forget to live for the moment. I know that nothing's guaranteed, therefore I take it one day at a time and let things occur as they may. I think my most positive attribute is that I'm a people person and able to connect with people who would presumably have nothing in common with me. You should know as well that I'm akwardly honest, there's no beating around the bush with me. I am very open and non-judgemental. I definitely have my opinions towards things and have some sort of outlook on life set in my mind, but I never seek to judge others for their own actions or downfalls. We're all here for the same reason in the end.
I'm somewhat of a Scandinavian at heart except I hate the cold! I'm also very tall for a girl and I can't count how many times I get asked " do you play basketball?"

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a game......you win some, you lose some. Everyone partakes in the game, whether they choose to or not. There's no rules. You can play it any way you want. Get in the game or sit on the sideline, it's your choice.
I love that quote about how life happens when you're busy making plans.
I also think the world is a book and it's sad that most people never make it past the first page. My goal in life is to complete the novel with full understanding of just what it's about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sleep on other's couches and beds and floors and cars. I would love to host at this time, but my new apt is soooo tiny...so I'm not so sure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first heard of CS from a crazy man over the phone one day and thought he was insane for mentioning the website and the concept behind it, but then a year later while in Europe I remembered how this man was talking about this website and decided to look it up. That year I thought it sounded pretty amazing and decided to give it a chance and haven't stopped since!!

Interests

I'm very interested in the energy that brings the world together. I have a fascination with people- one of my hobbies is to find a spot and sit and watch strangers walk by. You can learn a lot about yourself just by seeing other human interactions. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a stalker or psychologist by any means, but I'm easily entertained I suppose. I also have a love for art and design- architecture, painting, portraiture, photography, fashion. Also into psychic knowledge and other such phenomena in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like just about anything and everything. I am not too picky on subjects. Depends on what I'm in the mood for. I have to say I'm a big fan of The Wizard of Oz.
As far as music goes...I LOVE house music, trance, electronic...love the energy you get from it!! I also like chill indie music...been having this obsession with John Gold lately. Also Spoon is my all time fave!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Calciostorico game in Firenze in the summer was insane(supposed to be the roots of soccer), however it only consisted of fighting and riots and people crowding around me and my friend yelling "Americani!" The police showed up and tried breaking up the crowd. Somehow we ended up on the team bus with the bloody players while the Italians were yelling and hitting the bus, and the players started singing to us. One of those times when u think to yourself...this is something I will remember for the rest of my life if I ever make it out! I can retell the story but its one of those times where you just had to be there to fully understand the heart thumping action.

Teach, Learn, Share

The most amazing thing about life is that u never stop learning. Every day, every minute offers a chance to take in something new.
