ABOUT ME

I like to travel and discover new places and new people. I am vegetarian, also no smoke and alcohol. Тrying to be open and feel good. Traveled a lot by hitch-hiking wat definitely improved my communication skills and gave me a unique experience. I used to quit my job twice and went traveling.

PHILOSOPHY

live, feel, be thankful

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not a super active member, but I like to support the movement to be open and hospitable to each other.
By the way, I don't like that CS becomes commercial.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly good: I met plenty of good and great people here.
Sometimes bad: ones in Marocco I was almost robbed by a guy that invited me through my public trip (CS support didn't even give any feedback to my report on it). But still its experience and lesson for the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like art that reveals to me something. And also like sincerity in art
Movies - I like documentaries, movies captured on real stories and just good movies. Examples: The Salt of the Earth, Last Men in Aleppo, A World Not Ours, Océans, The Pursuit of Happiness, The Green Mile.
Music - mixing different styles, now more calm instrumental music, but it depends on a mood. Examples: Trevor Hall, Mumford and Sons, DakhaBrakha, Andy Dixon, RATM, Ramona Falls, Sigur Ros.
Books - I like to "feel something" after reading the book. Examples: The Little Prince (A. de Saint-Exupéry), One Hundred Years of Solitude (G.G. Márquez), Flowers for Algernon (D. Keyes).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We with my friend build a raft from a garbage - old doors, windows, doors frames, and plastic bottles. We raft for eight days on the big river like Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn. It was amazing because we made such a thing for the first time and we were like guys from a childhood book. As well there were a lot of moments that I felt like I am in some "national geographic" documentary - incredible nature around: river, meanders, fishes and birds, canyon, forests.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach: have to say "sun" in my language, Ukrainian and other languages that I know, basic juggling, cook something, throw a frisbee
I can learn: I am able to learn
I can share: experience traveling by hitchhiking and not only (organizing trip and way of life in the trip, be open to spontaneous decisions).
