About Me
Walking slowly towards my 30th birthday, I see my life as a collection of memories, pleasures and wonderful things I've learnt.
I've been living in Lille for the past 4 years, incredible city in the North of France, for which I fell instantly. This city describes me well in some part. It is popular (young and modest living), cultural (museums and concert venues are plenty), flat and quite small (perfect for bicycle riders like myself) and politically engaged.
If I must add a couple things about myself, I'd say that I'm not shy, which helps when making encounters, and that anything that can surprise me will write down in my memories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because of you, people! I mean, what's the point of going abroad if it's not to meet the people? I've been lucky enough so far to always meet fine, gentle, generous and open-minded folks.
During everyone of my last CS experiences, my hosts were my guides through their cities, their neighborhoods, parks, bars, clubs and well kept secrets. That's one of the best reasons to do so, and that's what I've done eveytime I was a host myself.
So my ears will definitely remain open to all your suggestions, as I know that they'll outstand all that any travel guides can ever share with me.
Interests
First of all, music has always been highly important during my lifetime. I'm used to say that the life of music lovers comes along with its own original soundtrack. I like to constantly bath into music, sometime more to actually listen to it, sometimes to let pace things up around me, but it's always here.
I'm unfortunately not a musician myself, but I do organize some events in Lille, in order to share my love for auditory orgasms. And I of course love to see musicians, of any kind of music, even traditional or totally out of my knowledge.
I also love History, with a big H, and what our ancestors have left on this Earth, architecture, art, tales, traditions (and revolutions against those traditions).
But when I'm travelling, there is one passion that wakes up more than any other: FOOD! You gotta show me what your place has best to taste, as I'm a curious and greedy young man!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: take me dance to a House Music club, or chill in a little Jazz club, make me listen your favorite Alt Rock band, or just show me what you and your friends are up to when you want to party!
Books & Movies : I'm in love with science-fiction, anticipation, heroic fantasy, but also sometime more contemplative and philosophic things. That's worth for both reading and movie watching.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2012, I was called by the head of the volunteering department at Rock en Seine festival (Paris) just 2 days before the festival even started, to replace someone as part of the attendees' hospitality and information. I decided to hitchhike my way up there (700 km+) with a friend, first time I did such a long trip that way. There I met a girl, Camille, who's on the picture above, and we're still in love since then.
That was the beginning of a series of good moves, and there shall be a huge lot more, hopefully!
Teach, Learn, Share
Learning is the best thing that can happen to someone. I've spent my life in a permanent thirst for new things to enrich my mind with. That's all I'm good at, and I like it to be as broad and manifold and possible.
Languages are an incredible thing to learn, as they show you the story of the within, the History of the people, and how they shared. Of course, I'll try my best to make you learn some of mine (French), however brutal and tricky it can be for a foreigner.
And clearly, I like my hosts to show me their home cooking. This is always a fantastic expecience, and I love to share the few I know about French cuisine.
