About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living life with no regrets!
ABOUT ME
I consider myself a student of LIFE (we are, but a breath after all)- I'm always seeking to learn new things and willing to try (most!) things at least once.... while I cringe/smile/laugh or cry at some of the things I've done in the past, I have no regrets!
Meeting new people and widening my social circle is always a pleasure- I've had the privilege to live in different countries at different stages of my life so meeting new people hasn't been difficult.
PHILOSOPHY
Desiderata would come close, but so would Carpe Diem, largely dependent on what I'm doing at the time.
I love learning even of it's from a piece of prose/song, two of which would include 'If' and 'Everybody's free (to wear sunscreen)'!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to meet travellers for a drink or a meal, enjoy good stimulating conversations and exchange travel stories- I do have a severe allergy to superficial talk.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted only once (at my mum's place in Melaka) but met many wonderful CS folks, all of whom have touched my life in one way or another but all positively.
Unfortunately my couch is not available at present but I'd be keen to meet up with any intrepid travelers for coffee and a spot of sightseeing in Singapore.
Interests
traveling, water sports, arts, poetry, languages, development of self and others, and always open to anything new and interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: All except horror (gore is ok, it's all make-up)
Music: Most but not heavy metal
Books: All, yes, literally ALL (I mean it)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
tons!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell you all about speech, language, voice and swallowing development, impairment and rehabilitation.... dysphasia, dysphonia, dysarthria, dyspraxia, dysphagia included! My job gives me great satisfaction as I teach people how to chew and swallow food safely so as to enjoy every meal (OK, I admit, I am a foodie)!
I am a qualified lifeguard and would be able to give some pointers about swimming techniques and general water safety. I have a monofin if you want to try it....
I'd love to learn a skill/trade from you, carpentry, plumbing, mechanics, hair-dressing, language etc....
Finally, I am closet DIY person.... this is totally random and doesn't quite fit in here but my dream would be do design and build my own home one day.
