My mission is to expand my knowledge of the different, beautiful cultures of the world, while making a few good friends along the way!

ABOUT ME

Well, I'm about to finish my degree, and after 4 years of studying I'm ready to explode & exlore this massive world we live in. I'm going to be travelling around Europe from Dec '08 til mid-2009, primarily around France, Italy, Czech, England & anywhere/everywhere in between! I've got a strong European heritage, so want to explore that part of my background, as well as experience other cultures. I'm big on living life to it's fullest, & you'll always find me with a smile on my face & a joke to tell. I'm a very easy person to get along with, come from a good family who taught me that love is more important than material possessions.

PHILOSOPHY

Live to love. There's always time to share a laugh. There's a lot of hate & anger in the world that's constantly being fed to us, but I'm more interested in the good in the world. I'm definitely a 'stop & smell the roses' type of person who takes the time to enjoy & appreciate the beauty of the world. My family are everything to me. I'm in no rush to get a mortgage & be in debt for the rest of my life - there's too much of the world to explore!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Being new to this project, I'm more than willing to participate a little more strongly once I return from my travels. Whilst in Canada earlier this year, I was sharing a room with 2 other Aussies, & 2 Canadians. This is before I became aware that this CouchSurfing experience even existed!

Interests

I'm all about music! Anything from rock (primarily 60s-70s), soul, FUNK, 80s rock/metal, acoustic, roots, blues, jazz, pop, lounge music. Anything that makes me feel alive! I also dabble in playing a range of instruments (bass, drums, harmonica, bongos, didgeridoo), but am primarily a singer/guitarist. I'll be travelling with my guitar, so would love to jam/entertain whenever I can! Also LOVE my AFL (Aussie Rules Footy) - Go you Crows!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love any music that moves me. Big film fan (just finished my sub-major in Film & Television). Like a range of genres, can't go past a good comedy, though! Love to finish writing my own scripts someday, but where's the time! Big reader also - love my rock biographies! Excellent way to pass the time & stimulate your mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Canada earlier in the year with my bandmates just to get away from the hustle & bustle, & to find out what was important in my life. Life-changing! Also, nothing compares to being on stage, singing your heart out to a room full of people.
