Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Creo que uno nunca conoce un lugar hasta que conoció a un local y tuvo al menos una conversación corta con ellos, sino el viaje es bastante vacío. CS es una herramienta genial para encontrar a la gente que es tan abierta y que está tan interesada en viajar como vos.

I'm a believer that you never really know a place until you've met a local resident and had at least a short conversation with them, otherwise the trip would be quite empty. CS is an amazing tool to find the kind of people who are just as open-minded and interested in travelling as you are.

Interests

Although I've always considered myself a big city girl, I'm still passionate about nature and the outdoors in general. I've been a scout since I was 7, and I'm a level 2 ropes instructor. I love my job because helping people overcome their fears and trying something new feels great.

I also love music and art, I'm a ballet, jazz and tap dancer, love singing and can play guitar and ukulele (I'm also trying to learn to play keyboard and cajón but I suck quite bad) so I'm always down for jamming sessions :)

Politics and history are topics I love discussing, and I'm really interested in hearing other people's points of view.

Aunque siempre me consideré una chica de ciudad grande, me apasionan la naturaleza y las actividades al aire libre en general. Soy scout desde los 7 años y soy instructora de nivel 2 de escalada y arborismo. Me encanta mi trabajo porque hacer que la gente supere sus miedos y haga cosas nuevas te hace sentir genial.

También me encantan el arte y la música. Bailo clásico, jazz y tap, me encanta cantar y toco la guitarra y el ukelele (estoy tratando de aprender a tocar el teclado y el cajón peruano pero soy bastante mala) así que siempre estoy para hacer música juntos :)

Me gusta mucho discutir sobre historia y política y escuchar los puntos de vista de otras personas.

Amo leer narrativa, historia, política y filosofía. Me encanta que me recomienden libros y música porque disfruto literalmente cualquier género. También soy muy nerd de Harry Potter desde chiquita.

I love reading narrative, history, politics and philosophy. I really like getting recommendations of books and music because I enjoy literally any genre. I have also been a huge Harry Potter nerd ever since I was little.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me fui 14 meses a Inglaterra a trabajar de voluntaria como instructora de actividades al aire libre, viviendo y trabajando con gente de todos lados.
Después de eso, pasé dos meses viajando sola por Europa.
Fui al Rover Moot Interamericano en Perú, un evento que junta scouts de 17 a 25 años de todo el continente americano.

I left my home for 14 months to volunteer in England as an outdoor activity instructor, living and working with people from all around the planet.
After that, I spent two months travelling around Europe by myself.
I went to the Interamerican Rover Moot in Perú, an event that gathers scouts between the ages of 17 and 25 from all over the American continent.
