Hi :) My name is Lisa Ahlert, I’m 20 years old and live in Hamburg, Germany. I did my A-levels in July 2015 and since 2014 I’ve been working in a trading company for sports articles. I’m living with my parents (my mom is from Croatia) and my younger brother and sister, who are twins. I also have an older brother, who has been traveling a lot himself. I have a very close relationship with my siblings. We meet regularly and spend a lot of fun time together.
I want to see the world, make new friends and learn new languages. That’s why I’ve decided to visit Australia with my best friend Janina. I hope that my journey will help me broaden my horizon and maybe decide what route to take afterwards (study, travel on, etc.).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve read about couchsurfing in a book and heard about it from friends. I find the concept very interesting since I believe that mingling with locals can give you an entirely different experience and insight into culture than what you are able to get from staying in hostles (which, of course, is also fun). I want to experience different culture and traditions and make new friends.

Interests

I played piano for 4 years, was a dancer for a few and I’m a vivid gym goer. I do like reading and writing in my spare time and I also like to meet with friends, cook, go swimming, etc..
I love animals! I regularly sit my uncle’s dog and my brother’s bunny (of which I used to own 5 myself when I was younger). I also love kids and do regular babysitting in my neighborhood.

Music, Movies, and Books

Depending on my mood, I enjoy a wide range of music. I listen to deep house, chillstep, rock, pop and especially (I know…) Disney songs, to which I sing along with my sister :D I love watching horror films and reading thrillers but I also like French movies. They‘re special.
