Hello there,
my name´s Lisa and I´m a 19 year-old student from Bavaria, Germany. I have a cat at home. Her name is Betzi and she´s the most beautiful and cute cat in the world.
I graduated from high-school in June 2023 and I wanna go to university and become a teacher for biology and chemistry in Germany some day.
I love the nature, especially mountains. When visiting my mother´s family in the Austrian alps, we always go for several hiking trips.
I´m absolutely into rock and metal music. Concerts are always so much fun and I´ve been to the Wacken Open Air two times by now, currently trying to get my hands on tickets for the festival in 2024

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling a country is a lot of fun, but in my opinion it's even better, when you can meet the locals and learn from them. It's an opportunity to see the country from another perspective, a more interesting one than just what one perceives as a tourist.
getting to know Canadian culture and folks. I would love to see the Canadian way of living, visit different cities, the coutryside and simply being included into everyday life.

Music, Movies, and Books

As already mentioned, I love rock and metal. I listen to various bands and subgenres and I´m always open for something new. Additionally I like indie, phonk, some rap and again: I´m alwys interested in something new.

When it comes to series I enjoy cartoons such as 'Rick and Morty', 'Welcome to the owl house' and 'Gravity Falls' or anime like 'Kakegurui', 'The seven deadly sins', ghibli movies and my childhood anime is 'Naruto'. Also I´m obsessed with a cartoon series by a german youtuber called 'Tubeclash', which is a mix of 'tributes of panem' and 'attack on titan' and the main characters are other german youtubers. Going away from cartoons, I enjoyed series such as 'Elite', 'American Horror Story' and 'Sex Education'.
For movies I absolutely love 'The pirtes of the carribean', the marvel cinematic universe and horror movies, but also kid´s movies and Disney.

My favourite book series will probably always be 'Skulduggery Pleasant', followed by 'Percy Jackson' and 'Harry Potter', all the books by Ursula Poznanski like 'Erebos', 'Layers' or 'Saeculum'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my best experiences so far was shooting a music video with one of my favorite bands in July 2023. I spent almost 15 hours with this Finnish band called Blind Channel, listening to the song 'Deadzone' about two months before release, shooting their music video, talking to them about various things, getting their autographs. I made so many core memories that day. It was simply amazing

Teach, Learn, Share

As I´ve mentioned earlier I would love to learn about Canada and it´s culture, getting into exchange with locals, making new friends during this journey and simply live life :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to show you some German cuisine. I´m a vegetarian, so it will be vegetarian dishes, but if you like cheese you will love the Käsespätzle my granny used to make for me and the German love for potatoes is a real thing. There's so many potato dishes to make!

And of course I would love to get to know you, spend some time together and simply be a good guest for the time I´m staying
