I am a successful freelance nomadic carpenter & artist and travel all over the world to build for museums, exhibits, theater, film, tv, Treehouse Masters and Cirque du Soleil. Sometimes I independently drive across the country on my Van'n'Tools tours, see nature, see friends, meet new friends and work in fabrication shops. My peripatetic life has led me to 34 countries. I have exhibited my assemblage artwork in Europe and the United States for over a decade.

I love visiting art museums, natural history museums, all museums, historic landmarks, National & State Parks, places where films have been made and oddball sights. I love family, my dog Bear, friends that make me laugh and cry, synchronicities, trees, wood, tools, peas, malasadas, mathematics, Star Wars, Vincent Van Gogh, Joseph Cornell, a-ha, Otis Redding, classical music, piano related artwork, assemblage art, civil rights, 2nd hand shops, antiques, flea markets, hardware stores, finding a great place for eggs for breakfast, road trips, riding a bicycle, documenting everything in pictures, I always dream big and am most proud of working with my hands.

I love that Couchsurfing exists and have made lifelong friends with my hosts. It is a beautiful community that isn't concerned with money or commerce but an interest and empathy for the heart and love for adventure.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

In 2015 I started driving eastward from Seattle in my van ~ a Chevy Astro conversion high top, with my tools, and I just kept going! I ended up driving to Nova Scotia. I visited 27 states and 3 Canadian provinces over the course of 4.5 months. I chucked out my resume and ended up working different carpentry and fabrication jobs along the way at a theater and many fabrication shops, like building the television set for the Ellen Degeneres show for Rockefeller Center in New York, or at Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis I built a piano for The Music Man.

I can have a good conversation, observe & become inspired by their world and bring out what is best in the world they want to share with me. I am also a fix-it lady. If I can't fix it, I would at least have an opinion about it!
