Bonjour! I'm Lisa, from Montréal , Qc, Canada. I'm currently studying industrial engineering at Polytechnique de Montréal. I have always really loved travelling, discovering new places, learning about different cultures, and meeting new people. This year i got the opportunity to go study in Hong Kong. This unique opportunity to study abroad was an amazing and unforgettable experience. I am taken the up coming months of the summer to explore Asia and its beautiful landscapes. I've never experience couchsurfing yet, but this could be a unique way to meet new people, learn more about the local food, cultures, and to gain insight of local life; which has always been an inspiration for my travelling.
I had the opportunity to backpack in Peru for a month a few years ago, and to Thailand, Taïwan, Cambodia, And China throughout my exchange. I will then end my trip to Japan which is a country that i have been very excited to explore.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Throughout my travelling, i have always stayed in rb&b, or dorms, but never experienced couchsurfing. I heard more and more about people who have stayed at other people place when visiting other countries, or the other way around, have invited other travellers to stayed at their house. I think that having The chance to stay at someone's place and learn about their country, hobbies, culture, food is a better way to travel, and that's why i have decided to sign into couchsurfing!

兴趣

I have always been a huge fan of outside activities like skiing, road cycling, golfing, hiking, and camping! I was a ski racing coach for 4 years in Canada, and was also part of the volleyball and track and field team back in school. I have always loved travelling and discovering new places. India and South America are on my bucket list!
Languages are also a huge part of travelling. Learning spanish is definitely one of my goals!

Some of my favorite bands/musiciens are Ben Howard, Lord Huron, Bears Den, Mumford and Sons. I also really like country music! Espicially on long road trips during the summer Time!
Two great movies i have watched recently are 'Lions' and 'hidden figures'. You must see those if you have not yet!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My exchange in Hong Kong was really amazing. I really liked the mix between the city itself with its endless buildings and of the nature and mountains surrounding Hong Kong. I have always been a huge fan of outside activities, so Hong Kong and its large number of hiking trails was really amazing! Throughout my exchange i got the chance to meet other students from Hong Kong, as well as many other students coming from other parts of the world. It was really interesting to live with so many people from different contries.
Other than my exchange, i would say the hike in the Salkantay trail to Machu Pichhu, and rock climbing and scubadiving in thailand were other really amazing experiences!!

Three words to describe me would probably be: simple, adventurer, and traveller! By couchsurfing, i would like to share some of my travel experience, culture back home, and just have a good Times and chatt about our differences, similarities, etc.! Always pleasant to learn about the local places that most tourists wouldn't be aware of!
