About Me
Hi there
I am Lisa, I am in my final year of undergraduate studies in archaeology at the university of Tours, in France. Next year i'll start studying anthropology (more specifically gender studies, can't wait !!!)
I volunteered for animals around Europe (France, greece) for differents kind of animals (seagulls, sea turtles), it is a great way for me to mix two of my passions: travelling and helping animals in need.
I also volunteer in many organizations, like a student one, an archaeology one, a volleyball one and one for marine conservation (yes, that makes a lot..)
I love to do a lot of diverse stuff as you can see.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great way for me to meet local people. I hate going to hotel because it is not personal, so I try as much as I can to go to guest-houses and that kind of place.
I also love to bring stuff from my country and make them try to people, always so fun. But I promise I won't bring snails !!!!! (not that kind of person...)
Meeting local people is a help to avoid tourists-traps, cause I don't plan much in advance what to do. I prefer to wait and ask what they would advise me to do, and tell me what to avoid. But I like at least to plan a bit for food places ( Im french... no need of saying more..)
Alsooo, i love to learn foreign languages, so it is a great way for me to learn, and to practice.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste are so diverse (as me), I couldnt summarize it. But I love to hear about people taste in music, films and litterature, could talk hours about it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Greece this summer while volunteering for a sea turtle rescue center, I had the chance of swimming with a turtle in the open sea when she was released, to help her find her way. Luckily I was in the water so nobody saw my tears of joy and proudness.
One time on an archaeological dig I have found an entiere bronze fibula (little piece to hold Celtic clothe) that ended up in a museum cause it was not broken, which is rare for a tiny bronze object like fibula.
