ABOUT ME

Excitable Australian who loves meeting new people, making new memories and experiencing all that I can. I have traveled through New Zealand and was in Europe for 4 and a half months in 2014. I can provide endless amusement with my strong accent and alter-ego, Hookey. I dance like a fool, can't sing to save myself but after 4 shots of tequila I improve substantially on these fronts.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been lucky enough to be hosted in Italy for a few days and saw a side of Bologna I would never have seen otherwise. I have hosted a number of travelers here in Melbourne, and have loved sharing this city with them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with the wonderful and hospitable Ame in Bologna, Italy. there I made friends with Mili and traveled with her to her family's house in Brescia. They were the most warm, kind and caring people and loved having me despite the huge language barrier.

Interests

I love all things outdoors: surfing, horse riding, hiking, skiing and exploring new places. I also enjoy a good book, better company and won't say no to a great night out.
I absolutely love to cook and would love to learn recipes you want to share.
Melbourne has the best cafes, bars and restaurants, I can recommend to you the most exceptional and authentic places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped off cliffs in Milos, lazed on a yacht in Croatia, Jumped into the sea near split off our boat without anchoring and in 60m deep water, I hiked through the Lake District, danced whilst on a random guy's shoulders to 'Make it Wit Chu'- QOTSA when the sun was going down and featured on the stage screens, I was welcomed into the home of complete strangers who treated me with such kindness that it made me cry to leave them, I partied in so many exceptional European bars and clubs, galloped on horse back along the pristine coast of Gippsland.
And survived a horrible teeth related injury in Munich.

I've studied sustainability issues, our relationships with nature, agricultural, economic, resource consequences of our current path of living. I have insider knowledge on the future challenges of Australia, our current political system and media corruption. I could probably form opinions on a variety on other issues if you want some self-affirmation and confirmation of personal ideas.
