About Me
first of all: hello, friend. welcome to my Couchsurfing profile.
writing this is Liza, a Latvian by birth and Berliner by choice, an illustrator and writer, a Bard College Berlin Liberal arts student.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like travelling on my own and learning about what is important to people. Couchsurfing allows me to combine both.
Interests
From November to March, you are likely to find me in my college's library. Otherwise, I love to hike and swim in lakes, take regular "exploration missions" through the city, watch movies, share drinks and stories with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am quite open-minded. Sinatra and Bon Iver, The Breakfast Club and The Hunger Games, Russian poetry and Kafka, beatniks and Berlin architecture guides. Currently: W.G. Sebald.
Always open for suggestions!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
travelled to Palazzo Schifanoia to see Francesco del Cossa's fresco upon which Ali Smith founded the story of her wonderful book "How to be Both".
Teach, Learn, Share
rather learn than teach. I can offer a pair of ears to listen.
share - my Riga and my Berlin. I know why the streets were named the way they were, have a collection of photos that date back to the 19th century and, for sure, can show where to find the best panoramic view, where to buy a falafel the size of a small baby, [and other important things].
