About Me
Hello everyone,
my name is Lisa and i’m a student at the University of Freiburg. I first studied Political Science and German and finally finished this year with my thesis on the Genocide in Namibia.
In 2023 I started my second degree with a Major in Middle Eastern studies (I am specializing in Turkish and Arabic ) and East Slavistic as a Minor (basically Russian language, literature, history and politics).
Besides studying and working I volunteer with different organisations and am on the board of my former school in Jordan and try to stay in touch with all my former colleagues and students this way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is just the coolest thing ever. I met so many amazing people around the world on here who enriched my traveling experiences everywhere I went.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is very Mood dependent for me, but I love me some Fairuz in the morning.
Reading is one of my biggest hobbies and I recently discovered my love for obscure Russian literature. The nose by Gogol is probably one of my favourite books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
moved to Amman in Jordan
Teach, Learn, Share
I loooove cooking and eating good food, I am not sure how good I am at cooking but I love to cook for others (who likes to eat alone anyway?)
I am also quite a book nerd and love discussing books with other people. When travelling I try to read at least one book by an author from this country - always love recommendations.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook, recommend you some books and tell you some interesting linguistic facts :)
