Greetings to all from the tall totem country of mountains, forests and the seas! I'm Lisa and I'm a student in Polytechnic University in the great city of St. Petersburg!
I was born in faraway land near the ocean in my beloved home Vladivostok. Growning up on the coasts of Far Eastern Russia I learned the world in the depths of Asia meeting the people from different countries, hearing their languages, tasting their food, singing their songs and enjoing the dances. I went to Japan when I was in school and that was first time ever I'd been surrounded by the students from different parts of the world! While living there I decided to myself - I devote my life to travelling, to pepople and for the benefit of the whole world!
I started my way being a volounteer in my town. I wanted to help people to make my hometown more hospitable. So I met people from Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand showing them the best places, trying to make their vocations unforgettable. So I did! I made many friends and I still in touch with them! They even come to V-ROX music festival where I've been volounteer for many years!
Time was passing and after leaving the school I went to another end of the country to St. Petersburg. Northern, the city of imperial scope and the most European city in Russia which I've never seen before. I was never so far away from my home but nor so close to Europe. I went to university there studying Business Informatics and so the studies was taking most of the time. But I didn't want to give up with my goal so I begin taking apart in different city events, joining different clubs like Board of European Students of Technology, being tutor for foreign students and more! I've volounteered and worked on world sport events like World Hockey Championship 2015, FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. And so being more and more immersed into European environment I went on my trips to the beautiful cointries of Estonia, Finnland, Sweden, Spain, Portugal and so on. I tried the best of it and I don't want to stop exploring the Europe! I applied for exchange programm to Poland and after the studying I want to go for internship in Germany.
I really enjoy the great people I’ve met, both through official exchanges, and on the Forum. I’ve been Postcrossing for ten years, and I still really enjoy asking for a new address and reading a new profile.
My life has changed a great deal recently. Fitness has always been very important to me and I intend to keep doing the best I can – with lots of yoga! It's like another journey you go inside of yourself, learning who are you, finding your safety place in all of this turmoil that is going around and it easy to get lost in it.
