What do I do?
I am an disabled fine artist, holistic healer, philanthropist, and spiritual person, well I like to think so.

https://www.unity.org/article/five-spiritual-principles-taught-unity
"These ancient universal principles taught by Unity offer foundational guidance for living abundantly and staying in tune with your own divine nature." They are used in Unity Spiritual Centers throughout the world.

* God is everywhere and always present in every circumstance. This divine energy underlies and animates all of existence.
* Human beings are innately good because they are connected to and an expression of Spirit.
* Our thoughts have creative power to influence events and determine our experiences.
*Prayer and meditation connect and align us to our own spiritual nature within God.
*It is not enough to understand spiritual teachings. We must apply our learning in all areas of life, incorporating them into our thoughts, words, and actions.

#2) "Welcome to Unitarian Universalism"

https://www.uua.org/beliefs

*Pluralism: We are all sacred beings, diverse in culture, experience, and theology.
*Justice: We work to be diverse multicultural Beloved Communities where all feel welcome and can thrive.
*Transformation: We adapt to the changing world.
*Generosity: We cultivate a spirit of gratitude and hope.

Living situation?

My roommate Manpreet, drives truck-long haul truck driver out of town most of the time so it’s just me. He has allowed through joint discussion, prior review of any or all candidates if we will extend the use of his room to for a guest or guests. Home safety and respect are high priority for us. There is a full size futon that folds out in the living-room that can be used.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

*I enjoy traveling sometimes -which is a plus when I can experience cultures all over the world, rather here at home in USA- culturally rich with people of over 160 differing languages and stories, or abroad....stories- creating lasting positive memories.

Self Awareness?

*I have found I have passion and fire for subjects I believe in, like equality and justice with the woman holding the scales with a blindfold-the symbology speaks volumes. I work to live in a Zen atmosphere and hope to connect with other peace-loving philanthropists that value the ideals of the Golden Rule. I am aware of my own mortality and limit decisions that would put my life at risk morally, ethically or physically.

Note:
*I have not paid the $60 fee for a lifetime verification yet.

35 Essential Life Lessons Everyone Should Learn Early on in Life
https://www.omaritani.com/blog/35-life-lessons
By Omar Itani

What I Can Share with Hosts

Compassion is key!

*What I learned from a seasoned retired teacher Couch Surfer Host who has traveled to many countries and hosted over perhaps 30 people, some he shared became life friends was:
A). He immediately responded to my request as soon as he read it.
B). Not long after correspondence he offered the address to his home in the location we were traveling and I accepted his offer. He also offered an alternate means of contact-the level of trust was amazing and honorable-I don't take lightly=he offered it.
C). Upon arrival on his street in the city, I rang his doorbell and he greeted me with the most kind warm inviting smile. He then took my hand and led me to his beautiful spare room and bathroom with a tub and shower for guests. He treated me like a distant relative with absolute kindness and was one of the sweetest kind energy men to be greeted with which gave us as woman a sence of comfort, safety and relief. is when we arrived from driving multiple miles to our destination, his house, he greeted me and my friend with a smile and led us immediately to the guest room where we could bring in our things and relax from our travel. He said. “Take your time and relax”. He opened up his kitchen to me and showed me where everything was and said “make yourself at home”. He offered to “help us bring in our bags”. Then he offered to take us to a local hot spot for coffee or beer to get acquainted, his treat. My friend who drove drove us and we had a lovely time. Later we made dinner together and ate at his beautiful table and talked. He shared of his adventures, about his partner who was away and we then went to bed at a decent hour. He let me know his plans while we were there so we could all work around each others schedule. I feel like we made a friend and I offered to host him as well if he is ever in the area. What was key is he had no alternative expectations of us, he behaved like a utter gentleman and lent a hand whenever we needed it. Chou Bella. I want to pay it forward similarly.

FUTURE HOSTS?

*I appreciate your willingness to accommodate me or guests in travel adventures!
*If I reach out to you I'm taking a risk that your kind, respectful and genrous, something about your profile stands out-please don't waste time by not responding in a timely manner if you're willing to space share, or not!
*I will do my best to ask you in advance, not the day or week of, to seek accommodation-that is what I look for in house guests. It's courteous of everyone's time to secure housing arrangements.
* People who pee standing up=I also see that as a gender identified she/her please put the toilet seat down, surely if you have ever had a wife, girlfriend, female children, sisters? You may have learned to be courteous of those who sit on a toilet seat and lower the seat.
*Clean up after yourself-I'm not a paid housekeeper but willing to lend a hand if needed.
*ENERGY VAMPIRES=STAY AWAY! 6 Signs You're Dealing with Energy Vampires
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xckAF5gCWHQ
People who are here to drain the living life out of your being by expecting millions of stories from you IF you stay with them as a complete stranger (?), shouldn't be on this site. Look we're here to exchange a service not rectify some missing link in your empty life that no human can fill.

WHAT INITIALLY INTRODUCED ME TO COUCHSURFERS?

*My friend Thomas, it's kind of cliche given travel but his name is actually Thomas, who I met years ago when we carpooled to across the country to a Children Of Light Conference
https://www.beatpeace.net/
introduced me to couch surfers and everyone, we stayed with were, kind, friendly and wonderful hosts. I had no idea such a avenue existed until I met Thomas-he then after leaving biked across the country and documented it on his Facebook. I believe he used Couch Surfers too. He has his Bachelors Degree and spent time in Africa in the Peace Corps, so he knows a lot of people and is very resourceful. Finding a safe, fun and adventurous place to be is exciting and enriching.

Most Respectfully,
Lisa
