I was born and raised in a tiny village called Filzmoos in Austria. When I was 19 I moved away and spent 9 years in the States, living in Florida, Michigan and 6 years in Chicago. My background is hospitality. Last year I moved back to my hometown to be closer to family. Back home I spent the last winter teaching little kids how to ski. Austria is where I want to settle but I feel a strong urge to travel the world. I like to be social with friends and meeting new people. I like to be busy, it doesn’t matter what we do as long as there is something to be done. My favorite pastimes include being outside, skiing, hiking, sightseeing or going to restaurants and bars (I love to dance). Since October I’ve been traveling through Switzerland and France with a friend, in a Van, that has everything we need built into it. We’ll be traveling until Christmas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and meet new people and what better way is there than to stay with locals who can give you insight on all the off the grid experiences that a place has to offer. I am hoping to meet new friends all around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a wide range of music, my Spotify is all over the place. I almost always have music playing, whatever fits the mood; Reggae, Hip Hop, Dance.... Recently I’ve gotten into Manu Chao again. My all time favorite band is Seeed, I’ve been listening to them since I was 12. I also like House Music and have been to some awesome EDM festivals.

Movies are tough for me, I tend to fall asleep watching movies, especially in the evenings. I like Comedy movies, especially when they’re on Netflix like We’re the Millers, Blended, The other Woman... Usually I am more into Series. All time favorites include Game of Thrones, Shameless, Orange is the new Black, Santa Clarita Diet, How I met your Mother....

I like Thrillers and Horror stories, anything I don’t like watching in a movie I like to read about. Stig Larsson’s books are some of my favorite. I also like reading about self improvement and books about mountaineers.

I taught around 200 kids how to ski last winter 😜
