Présentation
À propos de moi
Hey there! My name is Lisa, I am originally from Seattle but now I live in Galway, Ireland where I am earning my Masters in International Criminal Law from the Irish Centre for Human Rights. I chose to move to Europe for education for the chance to explore the variety of cultures and history here - and maybe to sleep on your couch!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
The best way to experience a new place is by meeting locals. I've only couchsurfed once, but I'm looking forward to getting back into it and someday hosting my own surfers!
Centres d'intérêt
I'm a sucker for genealogy and would easily abandon all my political career aspirations in Brussels or D.C. if offered a job at Ancestry.com! I think I inherited this interest from my father and grandfather, who have traced their line back to 14th century Oxfordshire, England. I've learned a lot of tips and tricks for research and would be happy to share them with you!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I read a lot of international relations books for university, but in my free time I enjoy historical biographies (currently reading Immortal Irishman by Timothy Egan) and those books that are considered 'classics' (also currently reading Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell).
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Explored the Justice Palace in Brussels in the middle of the night. Magical and very, very creepy.
Stayed in a traditional, transformed okiya (geisha house) in Kyoto, complete with kimonos (wonderful), bathhouses (wonderful), and pickled plums for breakfast (not so wonderful).
