To spend every day the happiest that I can be, and to search for who I am and what I am meant to do in this world. Also to avoid stepping on gum, car accidents, losing my keys, and other mishaps that life throws our way.

ABOUT ME

I am hungry for life-changing moments– something that distinguishes yesterday from today and tomorrow. I am open to all different opinions and views as long as mine are acknowledged/respected as well. I am motivated to learn and self-educate in as many different ways as possible. I try to see every thing with a humor-tinted lens because it takes too much energy and effort to be angry or sad. I like backup plans and a good attitude. I dislike indifference and the sound of repetitive clicking pens.

PHILOSOPHY

I aim to live in the most positive way possible. I believe that most everything happens for a reason and it is how you handle situations that will determine your happiness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first experienced Couchsurfing when I roadtripped cross-country from North Carolina to Los Angeles. Since then I've hosted and participated in Couchsurfing events and meetups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Absolutely amazing so far. I have learned to look at people in a completely different way and am thankful for all the experiences that I have had and will have on this journey. I think that it is great that CS challenges the taboo that society has created on strangers, and flipped it in a positive and trusting way.

Interests

I engage in the unusual, the beautiful and the natural. I like to surround myself with positive, outgoing and independent people. When I'm not working, I like to read off my Kindle, explore new places in L.A., and catch up on some of my favorite blogs.

Music, Movies, and Books

All the Harry Potters (I prefer the books, but the movies will do too), Game of Thrones, Pride and Prejudice, The Manifesta, Half the Sky, Thelma and Louise, Mona Lisa Smile, The Vagina Monologues, Girls, Moonrise Kingdom, The Hunger Games, The Descendants and SO much more.

The Beatles, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Sara Bareilles, Justin Timberlake, Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia, and snorkeling through the Great Barrier Reef are at the top of my most memorable experiences. Eating beignets in New Orleans, nights spent walking down Bourbon Street, jumping off waterfalls on Rock Island, Tennessee, and hiking up Diamond Head Mountain in Honolulu are also some of my favorites. Basically anything with nice scenery and a nice body of the water nearby.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy graphic design, writing and breaking barriers. I am also very familiar with social media networks and different marketing techniques if anyone is willing to learn.
